Last Dance

I promised a better photo of the finished dress, so here we go:

I painstakingly put a lot of detail into the dress. I think it came out rather well, if I don't say so myself. I think it iis going to look really good in other colors as well.

So I went to visit Hu and Kira for a while to see what they were up to. I never know what either of them might be building or creating next!

I was then invited to meet Miss Mirrorcle Writer in person and promptly accepted the invitation. I found Miss Writer very friendly, pleasant and humble. I was very glad to make her aquaintance at last! I had heard som much of her from Mr. Writer.

I was suddenly blessed by a call from Dante, whom I didn't expect at all (though I had hoped it). He's leaving tomorrow for his expedition and I was so pleased that he took a break from his packing to visit with me and say farewell. I joined him in his skybox with the opportunity to show him my newly finished dress.

We then headed to my store so I could show him my progress there. Unfortunately, we had some issues with movement around the property and I suggested we just go back to the skybox for a while.

He took me up into his arms and we danced. We talked and we danced.

I am sure the hours slipped away from me, but I was not conscious of it.

But at last the time came that we were forced to say farewell.

My head was spinning as he'd left me alone there in the room. I had no voice and felt quite weak. I don't know what to think anymore.

I can only say that I wish him a safe journey tomorrow. i can't say much for myself.

Finished!

My day started out happy - enough to keep my mind from wandering too far. I attended the first Caledon pet show and was quite impressed at the variety and behaviour of the animals of Caledon.

Amidst my entertainment at the pet show, I was called away. Hu and I ended up spending most of the day building and working.

I worked on my new dress with meticulous detail until it was done. As soon as it was done, I called Kira over to see it and she told me loved it and that I ought to make a white version and add a veil and sell it as a wedding gown. So back to work I went to make a matching veil. I was so happy an excited when I had all of the pieces finished, that I took off to show everyone I knew and completely forgot to photograph myself int he new dress!

I did get one photo of it from behind however...

Not the greatest, but I can take a better photo tomorrow.

I met up with Red to show him my dress and he had found this wonderful tavern with rats on the floor, sexy dances on the stage, massages, arm wrestling, and strip poker! Well, if this wasn't the place to discover, I don't know what was!

I often danced on the table for my victories over Red at arm wrestling, however I was starting to lose my shirt at strip poker, so I quit before I got too far behind - and Red had to go to bed anyway, so it worked out just fine. I just got more and more nervous after I lost a few hands. i will know better next time and I swear I shall practise as to make Red lose his shirt instead! I am not a gambler, but I refuse to lose my shirt over this.

I soon joined my friend Mr. Dreamingen Writer who was very pleased I made the trip out to view his gallery. I was also fortunate enough to see Miss Mirrorcle Writer's work. Both are fantastic artists and I hope to spend more time at the gallery to pour over their work in greater depth.

I in turn brought Mr. Writer to my store to show him my works as it were.

But the hour had grown much too late and I was forced to retire to my home to sleep the night away.

Another day down. Dante leaves for his expedition trip in 2 days. I know he is busy, but I am sad to think I may not get to say goodbye as I had wished.

Dancing in an Alternate Realm

Today I got the Brighter Days dress series up on the wall in the store.

That done, and in need of some activity, I decided to go dancing as my alternate self. I headed to the Dogglounge where they were having a rooftop dance party.

However, not long after being there was I called away by some confused patrons to the store. The patrons were trying to purchase dresses from the store and had not seen the "Coming Soon" sign I had posted. In haste, I posted a "Coming Soon" sign outside the store, right at the entrance in the hopes of dissuading others from attempting to purchase what cannot be purchased yet.

Hu and I decided to go dancing together.

Eventually, I was able to persuade Red to join us at the club. About the same time that Red arrived, so did Kira, so Hu was happy. The four of us danced at the club for quite some time and really enjoyed the music.

Eventually, Red had to head off and we all left the club. I decided to go home and try to work on my dress, but I was realy too tired to concentrate, so i stopped before I ruined anything.

I went to bed and just stared at the ceiling for a while. I hadn't been productive, but I had had fun. Perhaps I had been trying to distract myself from other things all day. As I lay there, I was suddenly feeling somewhat empty and I couldn't shake it. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Daphne: Warrior Princess

What a day! I installed the Garden Party series vendor cards into the store this afternoon.

Then I invited Dilbert over to see what I had completed of the store so far. I don't think he'd been to Caledon before. I invited him over to my house and he played my piano for me for a bit. He was also very interested in my books and while he read, I did a little meditation.

Eventually Dilbert had to go. I was sorry to see him leave since I don't see him often, but so it was.

As it turned out, just as Dilbert was leaving, Red invited me to Gypsy Moon for a battle - us against the "rodents of unusual size". At first, we took a few minutes to prepare ourselves for the battle ahead. Red briefed me on the best way to use my weapon, which I aquired through a chest of weapons near the entrance.

We scoped out the opponents. There was pleanty of warning as to the viciousness of the beasts, but we were not afraid.

We drew our weapons and charged in.

We drew the attention of only one, and together, we managed to overcome the first beasts, though we were both badly injured.

More followed and we fought valiantly.

Unfortunately, I was not as strong as I had anticipated and was unlucky enough to be injured to the point of only being able to lie upon the ground.

Red continued to fight the beasts, but more closed in and camped around me, injuring me futher. All I could do was lie there helplessly.

But Red, in true heroic fashion, came to my rescue and fought off the beasts. He amazed me with his stregth and agility. I was quite in awe. The beasts eventually perished or ran from Red and he was able to come close enough to see that I would be alright.

I was soon able to rise to my feet as my strength returned and Red helped me to a beautiful room filled with color and light where I could rest.

It was one of the most beautifully colored rooms I had ever seen and I was quite in awe. I was sad that Red and I could not stay longer in the colorful room, but he was very tired. He had, after all, fought far more beasts that I had and I could understand his fatigue. We said our goodnights and we went separately home to go to bed.

I hope that the next time Red and I go back, we will do better against the beasts. I am sure we will persevere.

Garden Party

I finished the vendor cards for the Garden Party dress series tonight. Behold the glory:
