Stories and Sailing

Tonight I listened to stories. I noticed a hubub across the train tracks in Tamrannoch and walked over to see what it was about. A large gathering of over 40 people were there and they were taking turn reading aloud stories they had prepared in advance for the evening. The stories were emotional and I enjoyed every one.

Just as the stories were ending, I got a message from Jasmyn asking to help her sail EMMA in a race as the sun was coming up. I had never sailed anything before, so I was of course, very nervous.

Well, we had technical difficulties right from the get go and just as we were picking up speed, we crashed into the shore. We came in second place though. Miss Rau won first place.

Then we watched some steam-powered motor boats race. What fun they must be! Much more powered and faster than the sailboats.

The men raced a grand race as the ladies looked on.

Lord Pimbroke (Sir Edward Pearse) won first place and Col. Hotspur Otoole won second.

A very fun evening - full of sharing and a good dose of competition!

Visiting with Friends

When I found Kira, she was setting up her new store - yes, another one! - and she was so excited to show me a likeness that a friend had made of her and Hu. It was an incredible likeness and I was most impressed. I got to be present when Hu saw it for the first time and he agreed that it was uncanny.

I soon found myself in Jasmyn's sitting room of her newly finished house. I believe she still has a few minor things to touch up and add, but overall, the house is finally finished! She even has a secret passage way, but I won't tell where it is. Needless to say, the whole of her house was impressive and I may just commission her to create such a lovely house for me someday.

When Jasmyn was called away, I went to Antiquity Township to have a good look around. I hadn't really looked through Township. I met His Grace Duke AngusGraham Ceawlin there and he showed me around a bit. We put up my sign for the Grand Opening party for my store in the town hall. We also had the luck of bumping into Col. Somme there. We discussed the forthcoming Antiquity ball for a bit, but before long I became fatigued and retired to my home for bed.

Unexpected Surprise

Tonight started with adding the Sheer Diamonds dress to my new Pompadour store and photographing the finished store for my ad.

As I was finishing up, lo, I received a message from Dante that he was well and returned from his expedition. I had not anticipated seeing him and almost collapsed where I stood from shock.

He invited me back to his house where he stood just as I remember him before he left. It felt like all the time in the world had passed, yet none at all.

I took him around to all of my stores and back to my house where I had done so many improvements. He was quite impressed with the work I had accomplished in his absence.

We travelled to his phychiatry office in the robot head in Steam Sky City where we spent the rest of the evening in each other's company sharing tales of all that had passed. I am jealous of his expedition and only wished I could have gone too. The descriptions of the places he saw and the people he met created a world in my head that I can only imagine.

I am so glad to have my best friend back again. I have missed him so much. I can't wait for him to meet Jasmyn and to see Hu and Kira again. I know Hu and Kira would like to say hello and Jasmyn would like to meet him too. I am so blessed to have so many wonderful friends. I adore them all.

Play Day

I took photos of the two stores today so I could place ads for them. The photos aren't the greatest, but at least people can see the store and identify it when they are looking for it.

While I was at the Everglow Chelonia store, Vox came by to see what how it turned out. I think he liked it.

He proposed we go dancing on the beach, which I was totally up for after all the hard work these last few days, but we ended up on Weather Island where Vox decided we should go surfing instead.

We caught a few waves and we had a few laughs, but soon it was time to part ways. I then met up with Hu and Kira in Neutralia.

We talked for a while as Kira shared a bunch of her modeling photos with us. Then she decided to take a few more photos while Hu and I looked on. She's so pretty.

I then worked on placing an ad for the stores, but came across another ad... Land available in a new Victorian sim called Antiquity. I went directly there to look at the place. I spoke with the land owner, Gregg Barrymore. He is holding a plot for me for 48 hours until I decide whether or not to buy it. It seems like it would be a great place to put up another store.

Now Open!

I did it! I got both stores open tonight!

First I finished putting up all of the vendor boxes in the Caledon Tamrannoch store.

Then I went to the [Everglow] store and put up all of the vendor boxes there.

Before making the vendor boxes live and for sale, I ran into Hu and Kira at her shapes store across the street. She showed me her progress on making her first skin. She's really come a long was since her last version that she showed me. I was really impressed. I think if she keeps the work up, she'll be designing saleable skins in no time!

So Hu and Kira walked over to my store with me and we worked out pricing together. Kira thinks I am selling myself short with the prices, but I think that for the Caledon market, they are fair. She said she bought a gown the other day for $800L and wedding dresses run $1500L to $2000L. I was amazed.

So we went to a yard sale and were playing on all the furniture for a while. I didn't stay there with them for long since I wanted to make the vendors in the Tamrannoch store live and for sale as well.

I went back to Caledon and proceeded to make all of the vendors live. Then I invited Jasmyn over. I promised her a dress in exchange for the building she made for me, so I thought I would let her choose, but also test the vendors as well. I gave her the money to buy the dress of her choice and she bought "Promenade in Maroon" (a persoanl favorite of mine) and we concluded that the vendors worked perfectly.

She put the dress on and it fit perfectly. She looked gorgeous!

And after a long few days and a lot of hard work, I said goodnight to Jasmyn and retired for the night. I will notify other individuals tomorrow of the opening.
