I arrived to find I had missed the fashion show entirely!

I was very disappointed, but decided to stay at the event location for the photo session. We had but only a few minutes to go before the photo session was to begin when, suddenly people started screaming around me. I saw the werebeast run past me and disappear before my eyes! It was the first and only time I ever saw it.
Next I knew, we were all looking in on poor Miss Artesia Paine lying on the ground bleeding, and without a doctor nearby and no souls with enough knowledge to help her. She did not live more than 5 minutes after the attack and we were all affected. It was the worst thing I had witnessed in Caledon and I cried uncontrollably.

Many of us met to discuss what should be done next since the werebeast had now taken a life.

During our discussions, I was lucky enough to see my first mermaid. Her name was Miss Lavender Lamington and she was the prettiest thing I had ever seen floating there in the dark waters.

Well, it turns out she has the ability to sometimes walk on land, so she gained her footing and joined us for the dance that was fast approaching. She ballooned to the event location with me and several other fair Calidonian ladies. Mr. Avalanche was the luckiest man to be surrounded by so many lovely ladies.

The equipment for the dance was set up and we tried to be as happy as we could considering the start to our afternooon. But we danced ... and Colonel O'Toole even lost his head!

Several hours into the dance, several Caledonians were receiving messages that the werebeast was approaching again and many of us held our breath.

Word followed that the werebeast had been slain once the messages had disappeared. We continued to dance, some Caledonians celebrating the death of the beast.
We danced long past the end of the event, so long as Sir Edward Pearse played.

I went home and just sat for a while. A lot happened during the day and I had a lot to think about and feel - things I hadn't had time to concern myself with earlier. I don't know what to think of the werebeast. Was his life worth taking for Miss Paine's? Would he have done it again?

And on the flip side, how sorry I am to have not had the pleasure of Dante's company at this dance tonight. This is the last organized dance in Caledon before he leaves for his exploration trip and I had really hoped to have his company tonight. I know he has so much to do before he goes... but I... oh well.
