An evening with Jasmyn

Tonight I worked the vendor cards for the new dress and spent time arranging for them to go into the store. Jasmyn stopped by to chat while I worked.

In the midst of our discussion, Desmond invited me to his mansion to look at land int he next sim. I have been on the waiting list for another parcel for a branch store. Unfortunately parcels in the the sim being offered right now are to be woodsy, and more likely to lend themselves to residential as opposed to commercial.

Upon conclusion of our meeting with Desmond, Jasmyn and I met up with Hu and Kira. We discussed a few things, then went off to the Dogglounge for a bit of dancing.

When Hu and Kira left for issues with one of her stores, Jasmyn and I moved to her house to change our clothes. She had this wonderful place to show me - one of her favorite places in S: Avilion Garden.

We moved from the front garden into the grand ballroom danced together for a bit. The floor was glass and slick under my shoes, but the music was romantic and everything was so beautiful!. I vowed to go back to Avilion Garden again sometime.

But little did I know that Jasmyn was saving the best for last! She took me outside and down a flowered path.

And we ended up at one of the pretiest wedding ceremony spots I have ever seen!

Definitely a beautiful end to an evening well spent with a good friend!

Tonight I danced at the Dogglounge. That's about it.

Thoughful

Tonight I spent most of my time dancing alone at the Dogglounge. Not sure what all my friends were up to tonight. The music and dancing gave me time to think, however, and I've hit on an idea for my next dress. I am going to try to make a Vicorian day dress. Thinking burnt orange and mustard yellow for the template dress. Maybe some decorative braid.

I went home to work on it but got caught up with the piano. I found myself playing all the melancholy tunes. I don't feel quite myself tonight. A cloud has set over my head and i can't get out from under it.

Dante will be back in 4 weeks from today. I look forward to it. It feels like he's been gone for 4 weeks, not the reverse. I miss him a lot. He always cheers me up.

Dancing and dancing and dancing some more

Tonight started out with GenX with Gabi. We had quite the rave going on in Caledon. Radio Riel's newest DJ Rane Mokeev gave us an hour of modern tunes.

Somehow, by the end of the party, I ended up dancing in the middle of all the half-naked kilted men. What proper Caledonian could complain? I was in tartan heaven!

When the party ceased, I went back to the store and finished putting up the last of the vendor cards. The Ribbons Ball Gown is now on display at the store in its full glory.

Shortly thereafter, I met up with Red at the Dogglounge. We danced for an hour or so together until we both had to go to bed.

I am sad that Red no longer comes into Caledon. I know why and I respect him for his decision, but just once I'd love to dance with him at a ball and show him the progress of the store and maybe even have him DJ my store's grand opening party. I am just thankful that I get to spend time with him at all. He is so busy and I am honored that he makes time to fit me into his SL.

Setting Up

I decided to go dancing at the Dogglounge today. I was having a grand time by myself. I really hadn't been out dancing alone in a long time.

Suddenly, lo, there was Red dancing behind me!

I had a good time chatting with him as we shuffled around the floor in the mist. He couldn't stay long, but wanted to say hello nonetheless. I was glad to see him. I always am.

As I had began work on the vendor cards for the Ribbons Ball Gown, I thought I would try seeing how they looked on the wall of the store. I created a series of vendor boxes and started replacing the cards with the ones for the Ribbons dress.

I think it will look very nice when it is finished. The cards themselves look nice, but really do not show the beauty and detail of the dress. That is the downside of making all the cards uniform. I am sure, though, that as people see the dresses being worn around, the word will spread on how fine of a dress it really is.
